Located on the A40 on the edge of the charming village of Charlton Kings, The London Inn is the perfect location for an overnight stay. Whether you’re visiting Cheltenham or family, away for a celebration, or on a walking holiday – we cater for all!
Purpose built in 1835 for travellers visiting the area, we’re within short walking distance from the town centre of Cheltenham and a 10-minute taxi trip to Presbury racecourse, home of the famous Gold Cup Festival.
If you enjoy the great outdoors why not book a walking break and explore the beautiful Cotswolds, or visit the surrounding Cotswolds villages.

The team serves lip-smacking pub grub from the menu, which features a variety of dishes from light bites and homecooked classic dinners, to a full Sunday carvery. You can't go wrong with classics, which include jumbo sausage and fries, homemade chilli, fragrant curry and battered cod.
After your meal, head to the enclosed beer garden and soak up the rays!

If you're staying overnight, the eight newly refurbished rooms will make you feel at ease in an instant.
There's also a function room and meeting space available to hire - it even has its own bar, dance floor and skittles alley.

All but one of our Bed & Breakfast rooms are en-suite and offer Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, a TV and a full English breakfast included in the room fee. Our extensive menu is available for lunch and evening meals, all homecooked with locally sourced produce and served in our relaxing lounge or main bar area.
Book a room
Our popular Sunday lunch is served from the carvery and is also available as a take away. Free roadside parking is available, or if you're only visiting for a short visit or function, why not use the free car park facility opposite.
The London inn also boasts a delightful function room with dance floor which is available to hire for a fee. Suitable for birthdays, weddings, christenings, meetings or any other occasion or party. The room has a capacity for 100 guests and has the advantage of having its own bar, plus skittle alley, which was totally refurbished in 2020.

Be sure to take full advantage of our beautiful secluded rear, south facing garden, with is adjacent to our function room and perfect in the warmer months to sit and soak up the sun rays! Now also with a sheltered seating area, which is light with a warm glow for those later evenings.

The lounge and main bar areas have a relaxing atmosphere where you can also get a freshly grounded coffee, cake or lite bites, as well as a full range of beers, accredited Cask Marques cask ales and a wide range of Gins.
For those that enjoy pub games, there is also darts, a pool table, 9 pin skittle alley and live sports TV available. Or, if you’re wanting to take advantage of our beautiful surroundings, there are many walking tours throughout the area - perfect for the more adventurous kind!
